My room. I love it...now.

My Life Today. It was, um, fun, crazy, busy.

Before unpacking...
Um, my room was a mess....

Work in progress...

And tada. Its clean. Dude, this is like 4 hours of work before your eyes.

Man, I am tired.

Kids, Dogs, a friend, and a four mile walk.

Today was a good day, a busy day, a day to remember. I went on a two hour walk with Alyssa, two five year olds, Elijah and Taytum, and two dogs, Tucker and Tor-tilla. Oh, and I went to the police station. Speaking of the police station...that was quite the experience and here is how it went.

2:58 pm I pull into the wrong police station parking lot, the one only police cars are allowed to park in.
2:59 pm I pull into the correct parking lot, park, and turn off the car.
3:00 pm I walk into the police station. There is glass wall that separates me from any contact which could have possibly have happened between myself and the police officers and receptionists.
3:01 A police lady with a severe case of gynoid obesity (this means her butt and hips were the size of Texas for all you people that didnt have to spend a whole quarter of your life at college in a nutrition class). Now this lady and I had an interesting conversation, and this is how it went.

Lady: What can I do for you? (read in a mean, grovely toned voice)
Me: I need to get fingerprinted, is this the place I should be?
Lady: What for?
Me: I have a friend who is adopting a child and to babysit you need a background check and fingerprinting done.
Lady: You need a fingerprint card...
Me: I have it right here
Lady: Well, it is two minutes after three, you will have to come back.
Me: (in a slightly bewildered tone) You only fingerprint till three?
Lady: Thursdays from 1-3. You will have to come back then.
Me: Ok, thanks.

I walked out of the office, didnt say another word, but just kept thinking she was lying to me, and that she must have been having a really crappy day, and that I wanted to call her a stupid ho, but that would be mean, and that is definitely not what Jesus would have done in the situation. Then, trying to forget about the whole situation I drove off to Joys house to go on a walk with Alyssa, Elijah, and the Dogs, oh, and my little tag along Taytum.

Alyssa and I took the kids on a good four mile walk up and down hills and throughout neighborhoods. Don't worry, I let them play for 15 minutes at a playground, I let them have fun. Oh, and it was at this playground where conversations like this take place.

Taytum: Elijah, do you want to play school with me?
Elijah: (in an explainatory voice) No Taytum, you won't let me be the bus driver.
Alyssa and Me: Look at each other, look at the kids, and then just start laughing.

Elijah: Let's play hide and seek.
Alyssa and Me: Ok, we will hide in here.
Taytum: I dont want to count.
Elijah: ...I'm gonna find you.

Elijah: Can I have a piggy back ride?
Me: I will give you one when we get back to the house buddy, you weigh too much (100 lbs) for me to carry you uphill!
Elijah: (In a pouty tone) But I want one now
Elijah stops walking and just stands in the middle of the park
Angela: Ok, I will give you one when we get back to the house. Bye Elijah.
Elijah stand there for a while, then runs to catch up.

Man, I wish I could get over things as fast as little kids do. It would be very beneficial at times!

The end.

Today was a good day. A really good day.

Isaac Jordan LeeShawn. Elijah picked his first name. Joy picked his second. He came with the third. And his last name is not yet official.

He likes to sleep. A lot. Just not during the hours of midnight and 8 in the morning. Poor Joy.
Babies just have this way of making you feel happy, content, and blessed.

Oh Isaac, how I enjoyed our snuggle time together.
So before I went and spent a bunch of time at Joys snuggling with my boy I went to the eye doctor. So during this whole visit with the baby and while taking pictures I was seeing double and everythings seemed to glow brightly thanks to my crazy dilated eyes, or as Elijah (5 years old now) calls them, marinated eyes. The good thing about having a eye doctor appt. though was getting new contacts which allow much more oxygen into my eye and feel WAY better and also getting a new pair of glasses.

And to close here is a quote from my mom. We were laying on her bed, telling stories and chatting and then speaking of the cat she said:

"Even though she is small, she is kinda big. "

....and then I started laughing at her. But don't worry, it was a loving, endearing kind of laugh.

Good night to all, and to all a good night.

Golly I have missed my moms cooking....

My thoughts at the moment:

I love being home.
I want to see my brother.
I miss Bear Bear.
Tomorrow is easter and the whole church is coming to my house.
My mom is making iced tea as I write this and I want some.
My kitty is sleeping next to me and I love it.
My computer is warm on my lap.
I am so glad there is no snow in Moses Lake.
I am 3/4 of the way through Angels and Demons now.
I hope my roomies are having an awesome spring break and having fun preparing for their road trip. :)
I get a hair cut very, very soon.
I got to hold 5 week old Isaac Jordan LeeShawn today for like 2 whole hours!
I need to go paint my toenails now.

Peace.

Spring Break has officially begun!

So yesterday I tried to take a picture, and my camera wouldnt turn on. I almost started freaking out, but then I decided that I should try and charge it. Later that day after the camera has seemed to charge itself I tried my luck once again in turning out the camera and look what I found. Pictures from the beginning of February. Oh Megan, so seductive.

There were more of Megan, but she was flipping me off, and since I didn't want her to flip off the five people that read this blog I decided not to post the picture.

So yesterday all of my roomates left me. Megan, Kayla, and Carmen all got picked up at about 5:30 and made their way to tri cities. My mom tells me these girls have written blogs, but you see, I am not allowed to read them till Sunday, so I will just take my moms word for it, and I am glad these girls are off having fun. I miss their faces already. :)

So after they left and after I got back from Jareds and watching March Madness I decided to clean the room. Now cleaning is always fun to me, but it is amazing how fun and entertaining cleaning can be when you should be studying. I just couldn't stop. I vacuumed, did a freaking buttload of dishes, wiped off all the counters, took out the trash, threw out the milk, and then even dusted. So now, the room is pretty and there is no one there to enjoy it all...
I basically love clean rooms.....
When I woke up this morning at 7 to take a shower, eat some breakfast, study for a few minutes and then head off to my final I got this lovely site. SNOW, freaking SNOW in March. God decided that a really awesome present would be to give me snow the first two days of spring. Now I didn't really like this present, but I can deal with it, cause God has been blessing me quite a lot lately. My life has been becoming more relaxing, more fulfilling, more happy, and yeah, I have just been in a good mood.

I ended up getting home at about 11:30 ish in the am. I sat around, made lunch, watched a show with my mommy, read Angels and Demons, took a 2 hour nap, read a little more Angels and Demons, did some laundry, ate dinner with my parents and then watched Into the Wild. This was my moms response as she was putting in the movie and noticed it was rated R.

Mom: I don't watch rated R movies very often. You are corrupting me. If it gets bad I am going to.....
Me: Well, my friends corrupted me. Haha, I have to tell my friends I am corrupting you.
Mom: I didn't say I never watched them, your dad took me to an R rated movie when I was 17....

I loved the movie, I recommend it highly.
I love being home.
I love seeing my parents.
I love having quite time.
I love reading.
I love blogging.
I can't wait to see my little brother tomorrow!

Mmmkay, now I am off to bed.

Bear Bear's Adventure

Once upon a time there was a bear named Bear Bear. He got to spend the weekend in Moses Lake. Now most people believe Moses Lake to be a very boring place, but Bear Bear was determined to make the most of his adventure.

He was the last one up in the morning. Angela and Carmen were already downstairs getting ready for the day and having their morning cup of coffee, so Bear Bear just chilled on the bed for a couple hours.
But then Bear Bear decided he wanted to go on an adventure. So he crawled over to the window and looked to see what there was to do. A swingset he proclaimed! I must find a way outside.Bear Bear soon found a staircase, but had no idea how to get down. Luckly Angela decided to run upstairs to check her cellphone and helped him down the stairs.
Angela was even kind enough to open up the back door and let Bear Bear out for his little adventure.

Bear Bear had been hearing Angela and her parents talk about how Daniel was out of town playing soccer for the day. Bear Bear suddenly had the urge to play soccer, and play soccer he did. After playing soccer Bear Bear wanted to do a less physically engaging activity. Soon he spotted the swing set. Wasting no time at all Bear Bear began to go down the slide...time and time again.
After Bear Bear got bored of the slide he made his way to the tire swing. Though in the picture Bear Bear may look sad, he is just really tired from a day of amazing fun-ness. And yes, that is a word.
After the tire swing Bear Bear was spent. His adventure wore him out! So he decided to come inside, upload the pictures and write a blog.

Now I bet you never knew Bear Bear was capable of such adventures and computer skills, but here is the thing you need to know about Bear Bear. He has three rules. 1. He always listens but never talks. 2. He wins every fight and 3. He never takes his clothes off.

The only one that proved to be a problem was the third one. Bear Bear is in dire need of his shirt being washed. Now Angela was not sure about how to go about this, seeing as to wash a shirt you need to take it off ones body. Angela was going to cover bear bear up in a towel, then put anothe shirt on him, but she didn't know if that would be breaking the rules. So Angela just decided to wait to talk to Bear Bear's actual owner, Shaneshine. Meanwhile, Bear Bear is stuck with a dirty shirt.

Pictures are uploaded. Blog is written. Bear Bear, exhausted from his grueling adventure, is off to go take a rest.

Loving doing nothing....

A conversation at church today that took place between a little three year old girl named Ashley and my mom.

Ashley: (pointing at Daniel and I) Are those your friends?
Mom: No, they are my kids, do you remember how I told you I had a little girl who is all grown up?
Ashley: Are they big?
announcment for children to go to childrens church
Ashley: I NEED MORE MINTS.
Mom: Come to me after church.
Ashley runs away and forgets about the whole incident.

Sometimes I wish I was three all over again....

Only because I can't post a blog without a picture...

Today was a mix of good and bad.

The Good: I woke up and my daddy made me a delicious homemade breakfast. My mommy made me coffee. My daddy made me a fire so that I could be warm. I got to take a real shower. I got all my laundry done. I got to hang out with Elijah and Joy when they came over for dinner.

The Bad: My brother came home from his friends birthday/ sleepover, read his book, then went up to his room at around 4:30 pm. It is now 11:30 and he hasnt emerged. I believe this is called lack of sleep. I kinda hope he wakes up in the middle of the night, maybe at like 4, and is like, boy, I have gotten 12 hours of sleep, now what am I to do with myself? Anyway, after Joy and Elijah left I started watching an episode of psych on my compter, then my dad came and asked me when we were going to do taxes together. I said right away. We began to use Turbo Tax and fill out forms, we did this for over an hour. Lets just say that scholarships make taxes freaking confusing. Oh, so in the middle of this whole tax deal I hear my mommy in the other room busting up laughing at the episode of Psych that I stopped in the middle of, this was sad, I wanted to be watching it with her. Then, I finally finish my taxes after forever, and there is an error. A confusing error. My dad figures it out for me while I finish my episod of Psych. I find out I owe $180 for taxes. This sucks. I hate this. Blah.

The Ugly: I really have nothing to say here...I just wanted it to say the good, the bad, and the ugly. Yep, yep.

And this is what happens when I come home...

I got home today at about 6.
I ate a wonderful dinner of homemade leftovers. I never knew they could taste so good.
My mom cleaned the kitchen.
I dont know what I was doing.
I decided I wanted to watch a movie with my mommy while my daddy went to a high school girls basketball game.
I got in the car and drove to Hastings.
On my way there I saw a cop who had pulled someone over.
I finally got to Hastings.
Went inside, found the movie, went to the checkout line, waited for a while, listen to a girl complain about a 25 cent late fee for a movie she claims she never rented, finally got helped.
The hastings card won't scan.
Manager is called.
Manager fixes problem.
Magager leaves.
Movie is scanned into computer.
Clerk tries to scan movie coupon into computer. Wont work.
Clerk tries to type numbers from movie coupon into computer. Cant read numbers.
Magager is called.
Manager types in special numbers.
Manager leaves.
Clerk tells me I owe $3.77, I am confused, I payed with the coupon thing.
Manager is called.
Manager says I have a late fee.
I ask from when.
She says is is for Spiderman from back in 2005.
I look puzzled, say it is my moms account, but oh well, I will just pay it.
She waves the charge.
I feel bad for the people who have waited in line forever behind me. I really didnt want this whole ordeal to take place. I thought about leaving numerous times.
I apologize twice and then leave.
I see the same cop who has pulled another person over on my way home
Finally I am home.
Great start to an awesome weekend.

Hope you all are having a good weekend.
Love ya!

The weekend is still young...

A conversation that took place as we (Shane, Kenny, Jared, Angela, and Carmen) were leaving the Phase.
Shane: I play basketball like I play girls.
Kenny: Not very well?
Jared: Awkward?

Wolfman howled at me!

So I know I already blogged once today. But after this first blogging experience I had to go sit in a 50 minute sociology class, and I started doodling, and thinking, and realizing I actually had stuff going on in my life to blog about.

First off. A conversation that ensued last night before we fell asleep.

Kayla: Angela, evey boy knows you are the most marriagable material.
I mean, if I was a boy, I would marry you.
Angela: Ugh.
Kayla: No, you should take it as a compliment
I mean, can you blame them?
The house would aways be clean
The laundry would be done and folded.
Dinner would be ready for them on the table every night.
...and I am pretty sure the children wouldn't be brats.
Angela: Yeah, but would you love me?
Kayla: I would love what you did for me.
(Blogger wont let me uncenter this conversation. Stupid. )
...and then I cried myself to sleep.

Now for my daily activities:

There was a freaking lot of dishes. Megan, being an awesome roomate went with me to the laundry room to dry the dishes as I washed them.

Then everyone in the room, besides Megan who was on her computer, took a nap while watching Batman Begins. Then we went out for a photoshoot.

We are goofy.

One of the most amazing pictures of Jared. It was taken in Senior Hall, which is probably one of the most pretty buildings on campus...though I know you can't tell from this picture...

Megan is good photographer. Megan is good at photoshop. Megan is a good person.

One last random conversation of the day.

Kayla: Carmen, can I read your lyrics.
Carmen: Sure.
Kayla begins reading off what sounds like class notes.
Kayla: Looks like Carmen was doing what she wasn't supposed to be doing while in class.
Carmen laughs and blushes.
Megan: Well at least she goes to class!

It was a good day.
Wolfman howled at me, Rachel, and Carmen.
The end.

Gas Stations and Swollen Ears.

So, I realize I haven't blogged in a while. Miss Carmen Landon has blogged quite a few times in these last few days, so I have decided to write a post. There is one problem though, my life is boring, I have no stories. Oh well, I'll throw a few pictures in here to make life interesting.

A few days ago Kayla and Carmen headed down to Kafka to do some studying while Megan and I stayed in the room to do some "studying". As soon as the girls left the room we decided to take pictures, and by we I mean Megan supplied the camera and the expert photography skills while I was just the model. It was quite fun I must say. In fact, I think we are having another photography session today, and I am kinda excited to say the least.

A day previous to my photo shoot, during the 45 minutes I left the room to take a test, Jared and Carmen had a photo shoot. I really like this picture. I mean, I know it looks like Jared may be proposing to Carmen, but that is definatly not what is happening. I actually like this picture because it looks like a scene from a movie. I just love it. End of story.

The most gorgeous picture of this girl ever. Megan is such an awesome photographer.

Oh, I nearly forgot. On tuesday, the same day Carmen and Kayla were at Kafka and Megan and I did a photoshoot we get a call, a call from Carmen. Megan and I happened to be in her room, stealing sheets and comforters so that she would have a better place to sleep in our room, then I hear Kiss the Girl, I answer, and Carmen asks me to go get the car and bring it to her at Kafka, cause Joel ran out of gas and needs to be driven to the gas station. Now, this would have been an easy task on any normal day, but tuesday, well tuesday was just a bad day. Megan and I had to run back to our room, grab car keys, coats, eagle cards, and the camera. We went to go get the car, first stopping by the wrong parking lot, then finally realizing our mistake. Once we found the car it was covered in like 2 inches of snow. After a few minutes we get the dang thing cleared off. Life should be good now, right? Well no. Because of the freaking 3 feet of snow Cheney has gotten in the last 2 weeks many of the roads are one way, and C street is one of these. Now lets just say I dont drive very often, so I did not know this stupid street was horrible to drive on. Megan and I had to pull over into a snow bank so that an STA bus could clear the side of our car by less than a freaking foot as it drove by! Mind you this is Theresa's car and I definatly didnt want to get in a wreck. Shortly after this bus incident we see a white car sliding towards us, no worries though, they got control before any accident could happen. We arrived at Kafka a few minutes later, handed the keys and wheel over to carmen, went to pick up Joel and life was just swell. Yep, thats my story and i'm sticking to it.

One more story. This one is about my ear. My ear which became swollen to the size of Mount Everest. I don't know what is wrong with it, I don't like going to the doctor, I don't like being in pain, but it is all ok, cause today, when I looked at my ear I noticed it is no longer red. It is half the size it was yesterday. My point is proven once again, I dont need a doctor!
It is almost the weekend. This makes me happy. Life is looking up.
