Gingerbread houses and cousins.

Ok, so today was a pretty good day, I mean, it was Christmas. I am proud to say this is the first Christmas that I have liked each and every present I have received. I got so many things that I have wanted for so long, but haven't needed, so I couldn't justify buying money. Then I got some things an itunes gift card and some money. Oh how i love the season of giving and receiving. Oh, and thats the thing. Everyone in both of my parents families are at least a little bit religious, yet it still seemed a bit difficult to remember this is the day our Savior was born. I mean it is CHRISTmas, yet we fill this season with stressful gift giving, ice skating, lights and trees, and santa clause. What have we done with the true meaning of Christmas? What, what have we done? Ok, so for some reason I am feeling totally, one hundred percent uncreative right now. So I am going to blog through pictures. Not only am I going to resort to pictures to tell my story, but I am going to be cliche and say it: A picture is worth a thousand words. So therefore, I am giving you like 6000 extra words with this post.

My cousin learned the art of cup stacking. He is pretty good I must say!

We actually had a "white" Christmas. Well, ok, it only snowed for like 10 minutes, but still, it was white!
"Santa Claus" Sage. He would only deliver the presents to us if he had a hat to wear, cause you know, Santa wears a hat.

This is my gingerbread house. I am basically a pro builder/decorator. Call me up and I could help you too!
We had a contest. I won. Ok, we didn't really judge them. But I would have won.
The backs.

Ok, that is the end. No cool ending this time. My computer is going to die and I must post it before it does. Merry Christmas everyone.

And tonight I get to stuff the stockings...

Today has been a crazy day. So I got up at 8:45am and I was the last one up in the family, and the only reason I got up that early was because I heard everyone else downstairs clattering around. Yeah, ridiculous I know. Then, 12:00pm comes around and I am still sitting around in my pajamas. All I had done was eat half a cinnamon roll and an orange for breakfast. Oh, and I had emailed back a few friends, msn-ed a little bit, and yeah, really important things for sure. I actually started using this thing called google reader and I subscribe to the blogs and they all come into one page. So convenient it is.

Ok, so they always say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I thought on this blog, even though it takes forever for pictures to download, I was going to picture blog. Enjoy.

My grandma, in the kitchen, the place she never seems to leave, yet always has something real going on. Real means making a meal, making dessert, making hors-d-vours, doing dishes, unloading and loading the dishwashers, and something or another.

Daniel, trying to find Amazing Race on tv. I must admit I watched it with him. The goth couple lost. Poor them

My mom doesnt really like it when you take pictures of her. She tries to hide.

The boys, watching football, figuring out their fantasy football. I am pretty sure my cousin won $500-$600 today. Yeah for him!

Pop. Watching football. Drinking a gin and tonic. Oh how I love this man.

For all of you out there that think I always have a clean room. This pictures shows the opposite...

I got a new dress. This is the pattern. I love it.

I take pictures in the mirror when I get bored. Don't judge me.

The lava lamp. I broke the tradition my two older cousins set and ended up not taking it to school with me...oops...

My Auntie checking out all the presents. Her doing this makes it ok for me to do it!

Christmas tree oh Christmas tree.....

Presents. Oh now I want to open them.

Me trying to be artistic. I think I need a better camera...

Cutest baby ever. I know it doesnt look like it here. But just wait, once I get the pictures off of my cousins camera I shall post them.

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas Eve. I hope you are having a glorious time with your families just as I am .

I am turning into an old person....

I am tired. I am happy. You ask why?, this is why:

1. I got up early this morning to finish packing/getting ready to leave for a 6 day vacation to my grandparents house.
2. I drove 5 out of the 6 hours my family had to drive today. I would have driven it all except we stopped for lunch and I decided I wanted to eat in peace and not try and wrestle with my food while driving, so my dad took over the wheel. (and no, it didn't take me an hour to eat, but that is how far the nearest rest stop was from where we bought food...)
3. I spent a lot of time listening to Christmas music in the car, and christmas music makes me tired.
4. I stayed up till after midnight last night, which is late for my house.

Why am I happy?

1. I got to spend 4 hours with Alyssa yesterday.
2. I got to spend 4 hours with Sara Seanez yesterday.
3. I got to spend 4 hours with Chris yesterday.
4. All of those hours were at different times, so I was one busy girl. During those hours I:
. played Canasta
. played Continental
. went bowling (and beat Chris 121 to 89)
. watched a crappy movie
. made a t-shirt on the t shirt press
. did a lot of catching up and talking
. went to the post office
5. I am now at my grandparents house.
6. I got a email from my sociology professor telling me that if I rewrote one of my papers he would still bump my grade from a 3.7 to a 4.0. I am pretty excited. I rewrote it and emailed it to him immediately.
7. I am almost completely done with my nursing application.
8. I am almost done with Paul Lauzier Scholarship applications, just have to ask to people for recommendations.
9. I got to see Megan Hopp today
10. My grandma made me an amazing dinner.

There is much more, but I shall write tomorrow, when I have pictures to make my stories more interesting.

As for now, at 10pm I am off to bed. Lame, I know, but whatever.

I don't know how I am going to function tomorrow...

I have been meaning to sit down and blog for a few days now, it just hasn't been happening. I mean, the sitting down part happens, then I get distracted by facebook, myspace, this blog, that blog, or the other blogs I read. Then I will get a phone call, check my email, balance my checkbook, the list could go on forever. Oh, and I have been highly discouraged by my blogger friends that have been slacking. I don't know what is going on in their lives, so I have no inspiration to write about my own. Sad, isn't it?

So as I was sitting at my computer, getting distracted by everything I began looking through pictures. I ran across this one I took the day before I left school. Look as Shane. Yes, he may look sad, he may look emo, but look at his awesome shirt; so happy, so colorful. Those wonderful shirt decoration are compliments of my boss, and the hard work of Kayla and I as we stuck them all over his shirt. Yep, amazing I know. Then there is Jared, and well, he is just cool ol Jared, happy and as entertaining as ever.

On Monday I got to go see Sara at her house. We had quite a lot of fun. We did lots of really exciting things like look at pictures on the computer, sit around and reminisce about old times, play with her boyfriends puppy, played speak, and probably some other really cool things; I know you wish you were there.

Then we went out to Michaels on the Lake for dinner. I had an amazing Hot Chicken Salad while she has some really yummy chicken on rice dish. Her boyfriend, the manager, brought us out delicious strawberry cheesecake. Then he paid for our meal. It was a fantastic day/night. I can't wait to see that girl again!

On a side note, do you see that Starbucks liquor sign in the back of this picture. I don't know if I am just naive or something, but I honestly didn't know that Starbucks made liquor. Man, I am out of the loop. Now I don't drink or anything, but if I did I would try that liquor, cause if is made by Starbucks it must be good.

Yesterday I went ice skating with Mario and Chris. For quite some time we were the only people out on the rink, which I must say was quite amazing. I nearly fell on my g-max many a times, but caught myself with my amazing balance each time, don't you worry.

Here is amazing Mario:

Christopher just had to start guitar hero-ing it up out on the ice...

So , as I sat down to start writing this blog I realized I had pictures on my camera that I wanted to put on (meaning the two ice skating pictures). So I went downstairs to retrieve my camera out of my purse . I saw the kitchen in this condition. Now tonight was like the first night I have been home for dinner since I arrived home, therefore, I have not been the helpful child I usually am who cleans up the kitchen after dinner, so I decided to do that before writing this blog. AKA another distraction, not a big deal really though.

Needless to say, the kitchen now looks beautiful, my polka dotted purse now sits in my room next to me, and my camera's memory card is sitting happily in my computer.

Oh, also, when I went downstairs to get my camera/ clean the kitchen I saw my brother watching tv. Now, this kid is usually quite exhausted after being at school from 7 in the morning till 5:30 at night. Now you might ask why is he there so long?, well, he finds the need to join many extra clubs as well as be on the boys swim team. He is one amazing kid let me tell you. Anyway, he usually has a bit of homework by the time he gets home. He has to do this homework right after we finish dinner in order to make sure that he is able to go to bed early enough to have the energy to get up the next day. So when I saw him watching tv I was suprised and made a comment like "Wow, I can't believe you have time to watch tv?, you never seem to have time." Now he took this very offensively, which I did not mean it to be, and is now in a grumpy mood. Oops, my bad. Whatever though.

So that is my break thus far. Well, besides the little things like I spent about 4 hours today helping a friend decorate her house for Christmas, I had to wait for a train to go by so I could continue to drive across the road ( this NEVER happens in Moses Lake, and by never I mean I have only had to wait one other time and I have lived here for 16 years!), and yeah, little things like that.

Tonight I am off to go watch the midnight showing of National Treasure: Book of Secrets. This movie should end at around 2ish in the morning. I suck at staying awake for movies in the middle of the day, I don't know how I am going to stay awake at midnight, but whatever. Not only am I going to be up that freaking late, but I am going to the high school at 7:45 am to finish making a Christmas present for a friend. I am probably going to need a nap later, and by probably I mean I will.

I hope everybody's vacations are going well, I miss you guys and can't wait to see you again.

Who would have though break would have no down time.

I have been meaning to write a blog since I have arrived back in Moses Lake but life has just been kinda hectic. After a few emergency phone calls to my father I arrived home on wednesday. I have no idea what I did that night besides unpack all of my crap and do like 3 or 4 loads of laundry, but let me just tell you it was time well spent.

On thursday I woke up to the sound of my alarm, in my slumber I had hit snooze a few times, so by the time I actually woke up I had ten minutes to find a swim suit, change into it, find the car keys, and drive the the highschool. I have no idea how I did it, but I made it in time, in time to be a drowning victim. Now this sounds kinda fun, and it was, but you see, I ended up with many bruises under my armpits. They hurt bad. To make it worse, these bruises came from 110 pound sophmore highschool boys. Yeah, I am just that cool. Later that day I got so see Sara, we caught up for hours, it was amazing. I had forgetten how much I love that girl! We didn't take any pictures though, we were too busy talking. I will see her again soon, and we shall get a picture together, you just wait and see.

On friday I woke up at 7 freaking 30, got dressed and headed to the high school yet again, but this time for a better reason. I was meeting Alyssa so we could hang out while also making some amazing christmas presents for Kenny and Shane. Just wait to see my masterpieces. Later on friday I got my hair cut, then went to pick up the girl I was babysitting for the weekend, she was at voice lessons.

After I got the girl, Vera is her name, we headed back to her house to meet her brother and start some loads of laundry. Speaking of laundry I did like 15 freaking loads this weekend, and that is not even an exaggeration. Come to think of it I have done laundry every single day since I have been home. This is pathetic.

Look at it all...

Crazy I know...

But it's ok, cause I got to hang out with Beau. He is amazing, I trained him just like Cesar Millan trains dogs. I am the pack leader!

He likes to sit by me and look out the window as I fold hundreds of pairs of socks. Oh, and by fold I mean match.
Oh, I also cleaned this room. It looks empty here, but in real life it is gorgeous.
Oh, and I slept in this amazing bed. California King. All by myself. I didnt wake up even once both nights I slept there...
And that is my break thus far. I am not off to go get some ice cream with Chris.

Today would be my first day blogging here. I realized the time is coming for me to delete my myspace account, so I needed to find a new place to post my feelings. My roomates, including Megan, began writing blogs quite often. Since I am a follower, I joined right in. Yep
I am going to be writing a lot in these next few weeks as I am stuck at home away, but now I must go pack for home, but first I must say one thing.
I can't wait to see this girl. I really have missed her.
Even in high school I loved taking a bunch of pictures.
Can't wait to get home.
Can't wait to see my family.
Can't want to be a drowning victim.
Can't wait to see Sara.
Can't wait to eat homecooked food!
